Five college friends take a spontaneous detour off Highway 54, lured by a flickering road sign marked Exit 17. They expect gas, snacks, maybe a photo op in some forgotten town. Instead, they find a place unlisted on any map—a ghost town called Marrow’s End, where the buildings are too intact, the people too still, and the only way out is to go deeper in.
The sign wasn’t on any of their GPS maps.

It flickered once as they passed, rusted letters glowing weakly against the dusk sky. No
logos. No chain gas stations. Just the name, and the number.
“Anyone else see that?” Harper asked from the passenger seat, twisting in her seat to
look back.
Jace grinned from behind the wheel. “Definitely haunted.”
